GYT-R Velocity Stack Kit For closed-course competition only. This kit has velocity stacks that can be installed two ways to tune for different power gains. For improved power across the power band ( ideal for road racing). Move the two stock outside stacks to the inside (cylinders 2 and 3) and then use two stacks from the kit on the outside (cylinders 1 and 4). For maximum horsepower on top (ideal for drag racing), use all four stacks from the kit. Gains of 5 hp on top can be achieved with proper tuning- no remapping is required.  
     
GYT-R" Full Oval Exhaust Systems For closed-course competition use only. This full exhaust system with oval muffler is so good you'll find it on the Factory Yamaha Road Race bikes. Lightweight system achieves an increase of up to 8 horsepower in the midrange with a peak power increase of up to 5 horsepower. It also boosts torque 5-15%. Available in titanium or stainless steel / carbon fiber. Both styles feature Super Sport" pillow packing, polished 6061-T6 aluminum end caps, and ball-burnishied stainless steel mounting strap and reinforcement bands. Fit's '03~'05 R6.  
     
GYT-R" Oval Slip-On Exhaust This oval design muffler achieves a performance increase of about 3 horsepower in the midrange and a 6 horsepower increase at the peak. Also achieves a 1-2 foot-pound increase in torque throughout the powerband. Available in three muffler shell options, each with polished 6061-T6 aluminum end caps, Silent Sport" pillow packing, and ball burnished stainless steel mounting strap and reinforcement brackets. For closed-closed competiton use only. Corrected torque and horsepower were measured at the rear wheel on a Dynojet Dynomometer. Your results may vary.

Steering Damper Stay Set This stay installs the steering damper sideways on the front of the steering head. The steering angle is 19 degrees. The recommended steering damper for this stay is a normal Ohlins damper with 68mm stroke (not included).  
     
A.I.S. Plug Set  
     
High Throttle Set Throttle opening angle is approximately 55 degrees. Contains grip assembly and throttle cable. Includes switch and throttle housing.  
     
ACM Set Smaller inner rotor for more rpm. Includes cover and hardware.  
     
Front Brake Disc Assembly For use with the floating-type brake. Brake disc is thicker (increase to 5.5mm), and various changes have been made to dimensions and heat treatment. This assembly is only one side (two sets are required).  
     
Transmission Set This transmission set includes an A-ratio transmission assembly and additional B-ratio gears. (B-ratio is not assembly.) The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears are interchangeable for A-ratio and B-ratio (see chart). The same gears are used for the 4th, 5th, and 6th gears. However, none of the kit gears are interchangeable with standard gears; do not mix standard gears with either A or B gears.  
     
Clutch Boss Hard aluminum surface improves durability and operability.  
     
Race Kit Air Filter Improved air flow racing application. Water-resistant element.  
     
Wiring Harness Must be used with new E.C.U.  
     
E.C.U. Changes ignition characteristics for improved performance. Four setting with standard meter assembly. Wiring harness must be replaced.  
     
Intake Cam Sprockets Changes the event angle of the kit camshaft. 103 degrees.  
     
Exhaust Cam Sprockets Changes the event angle of the kit camshaft. 112 degrees.  
     
Intake Camshaft Working angle has been widened to improve high-speed performance.  
     
Exhaust Camshaft Working angle has been widened to improve high-speed performance.  
     
Repack Kit for Oval Muffler  
     
Cylinder Head Gasket Durable gasket is 0.45mm to change the squish height for higher compression.  
     
Basic Engine Kit A set of items for increased performance for closed-course competition. These items are also available on a individual item basis.  
     
Spark Plug Set NGK R0045Q type #10 (R0045Q-10) spark plugs. Set of 4.  
     
Carburetor Setting Parts Set Includes the non-bleeding type main nozzle with corresponding needle. Includes main jet and shims.  
     
Air Funnel Set The profile improves high-speed performance while retaining the good low-to-medium speed characteristics. Separate base and bell-mouth portions make adjustments and maintenance easier.  
     
Clutch Spring Set Stronger springs with a spring load that has been increased approximately 26% from the standard springs. For duribility, spring guides have also been included in the set. (Standard=19kgf; Kit=24kgf.)  
     
Wire Harness Assembly Wiring harness weight has been reduced by eliminating lighting and other necessary circuits. A selector switch is included to change the ignition characteristics of the kit CDI unit.  
     
CDI Unit Assembly The CDI unit has various ignition map programs to ahcieve optimal ignition characteristics depending upon the kind of fuel used. Used with the Wire Harness Assembly because it has the selector switch for the CDI unit.  
     
Rotor Set This lightweight rotor is integrated with a starter clutch. The cover shape accommodates racing lean angles.  
     
Head Gasket Set A set of durable gaskets in various thickness to adjust height: 0.40mm, 0.50mm, and 0.55mm. (Standard=0.6mm)  
     
Maintenance Set Set of gaskets and oil-seal for engine maintenance (3 sets).  
     
Carburetor Clamp Allows quick, easy removal of the carburetors for maintence.  
     
Oil Pump Set Provides excellent lubrication in racing use.  
     
Friction Plate Set Designed to improve clutch feel and durability. A set of 8 plates for clutch. To gain full performance potential, use the Clutch Spring Kit (5EB-A6330-70) included in the Basic Kit.  
     
Drive Sprockets Change gearing to match track conditions. Must use with a 520 chain. Changes specification from stock 530 to reduce friction loss; because of the lightweight specification, perform checks and maintenance before every race. Requires use of sprocket nut (4FN-17463-71-00). Fits '99~'02 R6.  
     
Genuine Chain/Sprocket Kits Yamaha is introducing all new factory kits. Kits feature exclusive Yamaha Genuine speicification parts, engineered and tested for optimum performance on each model application. Tensile strength and wear life are optimized for each application. Each kit contains a drive chain, rivet-type master link, front and rear sprockets.
